Objective and Subjective Handling Event Volunteer Information

Position Title: Objective and Subjective Handling Volunteers

Position Description: Volunteers working in the objective and subjective handling events will assist assigned Event Captain with event operations.

For Objective Handling, this could involve but not limited to setting up the event, staging vehicles at start line, assisting with flagging, and any administrative tasks such as record keeping for scoring.

For the Subjective Handling, this will involve volunteers subjectively evaluating the agility and maneuverability of the competition snowmobile. Judges will drive each snowmobile through a course designed to evaluate handling and drivability. Judges will score each snowmobile using defined rubric.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/ Experience: Volunteers should have a general familiarity with and be comfortable operating snowmobiles. In addition, feel confident they can operate course safety as instructed by Event Captain.
SAE CSC experience is not required but preferred.

Orientation and Training: Onsite training led by the Event Captain.

Work Conducted via onsite

Time Commitment: 1 day

SAE Members only: Membership not required.
